ALEX’S BLOG FROM LERWICK 18TH JUNE

We began this stopover in Lerwick by repairing some minor damage to our sails and prepping the boat for the 4th leg.

Today though it’s blowing a Force 9 and there’s been some damage to boats in the harbour. We’re rafted up and Fujifilm is on the inside. She’s been pushed against the side and has been damaged but thankfully it looks like it’s only superficial.

After some debate with the race organisers the competitors will start at their designated times. We’re off at 17:09 (Friday) afternoon. It will be survival suits and storm jibs for the start but I’ll be glad to get Fuji out of the harbour.
