GALES BATTER BOATS IN LERWICK HARBOUR 18TH JUNE

There’s been some storm damage to the Round Britain boats rafted up along the pontoons in Lerwick Harbour. They’ve taken quite a pounding with the gales sweeping in from the north. Fujifilm was on the inside, alongside the pontoon and there is some damage to the hull although it seems to be only superficial.

Alex and Malcolm have spent much of the day trying to prevent any more damage and helping to move the outside boats so they can get Fujifilm off the pontoon for the start time for the next leg of the Shetland Round Britain and Ireland Race of 17:09 18/6/10.
