Preparations for race underway

Fujifilm is slowly coming back to life after winter hibernation.   Over the last few months, the boat has been out of the water at Baltic Wharf, Totnes.  There have been a list of minor repair jobs to the boat and equipment has been either checked or reinstalled.  The mast has been taken out of the boat, and the rigging inspected for any minor faults which could prove catastrophic during the Race.  The final coats of antifouling have also been applied to the hull.

Fujifilm is now ready to be put back into the water and taken down the River Dart from Totnes at the beginning of March. Alex and Malcolm will then sail the boat around from Dartmouth to Plymouth on Saturday, 6 March.  The boat will then be based at Queen Anne’s Battery Marina in Plymouth until the start of the Race.
